Charvaka Chronicles

 

The mangroves of this coast, struggling for so many days,

Sometimes tidal, at other times tsunami waves come,

Hitting so hard that these halophytes won't stay!


O' thy turtle, you're hoping to have a jellyfish,

But it was the ghost net that fulfilled his wish.


O' Almighty, that albatross, happy to feed her child,

But it was microplastic that drove it wild.


Shelford was right - excess in water, ready for algal bloom,

Even in fire, O child, you'll face mantle plume.


O' Social tourist, now tell me why are you here,

In the land of Charvakas, where "give me" and "take it" thrive,

Pardon me!

Don't know where lies your desire.
